DOG DAY CAMP: QUESTIONS
Question: What happens at Dog
Day Camp?
Answer: The
day has play & socialization time (4-6 hours) with Naps & Snacks. There are 2 large play areas and a field
that may be used by dogs that respond to “Come” on command. This activity will require permission from
the owner(s).During inclement weather play will be indoors with shorter periods of outdoor activity. The playgroups will
be small with like-minded play style, age and size. Good manners will be encouraged during the camp day.
Question: Can I bring lunch for my dog/puppy?
Answer: Yes!
Question: How will my dog/puppy feel
after a day at DogsXO Camp?
Answer: We hope that your dog will be tired without being overly stimulated. The first few weeks their
paws may be sore from hard play on the sand and pea-stone yard. We will limit their activity until they have adjusted
to the added exercise and ground surface. They may get dirty from energetic play, but they won’t mind! Dogs
can get roughed up during their play time. If you are worried about the possibility of injury to your dog, Dog day camp
might not be a good choice for you. We hope they will be relaxed and happy to be at home with their family after a hectic
dog day.
Question: Why
does DogsXO use crates for nap time?
Answer: Dogs are den animals. A crate provides a cozy, dark, restful place. Some dogs will find
it hard to adjust in the beginning, but with time they will be happy and relaxed. Using a crate helps with potty training
and timeouts, overnights at the vet, boarding kennel or hotels.Strange places will be less stressful if the dog is comfortable
in a crate.
Question: What
actions will cause my dog to be asked to leave Dogs XO, LLC?
Answer: Aggressive
behavior toward staff and other dogs. Excessive barking during play. Destruction of property. Excessive mounting.
Frequent late pickups. Dogs that show extreme stress will be asked to leave for their own benefit. We will try and
work with you on this issue, but there are dogs that do not do well at Dog Camp.
